Last Saturday, May 7, award-winning Chef Alessandro Miceli launched “The Big Italian Brunch“, a feast of Bella’s finest Italian gastronomy, serenaded to traditional and not-so-traditional tunes with a talented singer and live DJ entertainment.The menu kicked off with homemade “Pane e Burro” and a selection of delightful antipasti, from the freshest items of the Crudo Bar to a creamy burrata, fresh Bella salad, crispy fried squid, prawns and tartar mayo, and the healthy Bella signature pizza with kale, goat cheese, beetroot and walnuts.
Because no Italian family gathering goes without pasta, a perfectly al dente yet creamy “Pasta Patate” made its way to the table with mussels and scamorza cheese, followed by a choice of grilled calamari, octopus and prawns on a skewer or a veal tenderloin scaloppine with spinach and mashed potatoes, or a vegetarian option, the king oyster mushroom with topinambur, kale and radish.
For the grand finale, the Chefs trolleyed around the room for some table-side action and a light almond and apple crumble topped with house vanilla ice cream made a la minute.
